Teachers academy is former pedagogical educational institution in the grounds of today's Skopje Centar Municipality. In 1963 the building was demolished in the earthquake.

The construction of the former Teachers Academy, was first announced by the leader of VMRO DPMNE in February 2016 as part of the promotion of "seven new measures and projects for young people" on the eve of the then planned, but then postponed elections on April 24.

The restoration of old Teachers Academy is also part of the pre-election speech Nikola Gruevski in November 2016 ahead of the elections on 11 December.

Announcement of Call for the design in September 2016 was interpreted as a message to an extension of the idea of ​​imposing neo-classical dominant identity of the city, reduced under the maxim Skopje 2014.

The new "Old Teachers Academy" is intended to accommodate the Faculty of Fine Arts at Skopje University and the Art Academy in Stip University "Goce Delchev".
