The official database of buildings, new facades, sculptures, monuments, fountains and other structures which are components of Skopje’s makeover financed by public funds
The bronze sculpture of Gjorgjija Puleski, featured in the first animation for the “Skopje 2014” project, was placed on the left bank of the river Vardar next to the Stone Bridge on the same day with three other sculptures of prominent Macedonian historical figures, on May 7, 2011.
According to the documentation presented by the former mayor of the Municipality of Center, Vladimir Todorovik, the author of this sculture, Sretko Jovanovski, has received 60,000 euros for his work on this monument. That amount, according to the former mayor, included the author’s fee of 16,000 euros, while the rest covers other costs.
